Long Time Supervisor Will Be Missed

Logan Township recently lost one of its long term Supervisors, Joe Metzgar.  Joe was a Supervisor in Logan Township since 2008 and extremely dedicated to making the Township a better place while living within its means.  He was always willing to help out and always thinking of different ways to do things.  Joe was focused on making Logan Township better, he never let any personal agenda get in the way of governing Logan Township.  His decisions were made for the betterment of the Township. 

He was willing to listen to any resident’s complaint, no matter how large or small and try to find an acceptable outcome.   He was truly a man of the people.  He also had extreme acrimony for unfunded mandates passed down by the federal or state government and wasn’t afraid to speak out about them.

On occasion, he would make everyone’s day in the office brighter when he would bring one or a couple grandchildren to visit.  They were always fun and very well behaved.  Joe will be missed, we know he is already in heaven with his beloved Camille.  On behalf of the residents, fellow Board members and employees of Logan Township, thank you Joe.  Even though we know Joe is in a better place, he is missed immensely at the Township.
