Shop Foreman

Logan Township, estimated population of 12,450 is seeking a Shop Foreman due to a retirement.    Candidates must have at least 6 years’ experience as a mechanic working on trucks and automobiles.  Candidates must possess a Class A CDL and a Class 7 State Inspection License.  Past experience supervising mechanics is also required. 

The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in repairing all types of mechanical equipment including maintenance on generators and HVAC systems.  This position will also assist the Highway Department with plowing and clearing snow as needed during snow events.  The successful candidate must reside in Blair County.

The successful candidate must have a strong background in diagnosing and trouble shooting problems with trucks, automobiles and various pieces of equipment such as backhoes, mini excavators, bucket truck, leaf vacs, boom mower, street sweeper, flush truck, small engines and getting the job done accurately and efficiently.  This job also entails scheduling the entire fleet of Township vehicles for maintenance.
